Charging Piles slip ring

As electric vehicles rise in popularity, there are two ways for charging the vehicles: at home and charging stations. A domestic power supply has a long charge time, while a charging station is expensive to build, occupies space, and has a technological deficiency, unable to fulfill the market demand. To address the deficiencies, a vertical circular three-dimensional mechanical garage is invented: it does not only function as a normal garage for conventional and electric cars but also provide charging service for the latter.

The application of JINPAT slip rings in charging piles effectively addresses the problems of wire knotting when rotating car hanging basket. To improve the charging experiences, the automobile company, BYD, constructed a charging station integrating both parking and charging functions for new energy vehicles. JINPAT electrical slip rings, as parts of the system, play large roles in the continuous charging and parking services.

   Slip rings of LPT series for the charging stations are designed exclusively by JINPAT. With a 360° rotating transmission, it helps continuous charging without worrying about wires wrapping in the car hanging basket rotation. Integrated transmission of signals such as Ethernet, USB, RS, CANBUS, and FireWire is supported. The series has a current option ranging from 2A to 300A and through holes from φ12.7 to φ 500mm. Advanced multiple contacts of cluster brush guarantee a successful transmission with an extremely low friction force. Stable transmission with no data package loss or disconnection helps charging piles in service at any time. In consideration of the outdoor condition of the charging piles, JINPAT slip rings contain a high protection level up to IP68. Also, a high working speed up to 2500 RPM is available. Moreover, with a long service life (over 10 years) and free maintenance, the electrical slip ring ensures the normal operation of the charging piles without worrying about updating. To satisfy the customers’ needs, JINPAT provides integrated rotary joints of different circuits.
